Our Story
Mar & Terra was born from a story of love and a shared passion for the cultural richness of Turkey. Murat, from
Turkey, and Ianka, from the Dominican Republic, united their lives and their appreciation for the timeless beauty of
the Mediterranean. Ianka, who had long been enchanted by Turkey and all it represents, saw an opportunity to share this love with the world.
Their journey began with small, intimate events where they introduced a carefully curated selection of products.
These included luxurious towels, artisanal soaps, stylish beach covers, and, most notably, exquisite jewelry. These
private gatherings allowed Murat and Ianka to personally connect with their guests, sharing the stories and
craftsmanship behind each product.
Encouraged by the enthusiastic response, they decided to broaden their reach by participating in various fairs.
At these events, they realized their products' vast potential, particularly in Latin America. The positive reception
highlighted a genuine appreciation for the Mediterranean-inspired elegance and quality offered.
Seeing the growth potential, Murat and Ianka strategically decided to establish Mar & Terra, aiming to open new
markets in Latin America and eventually expand to other regions. Their brand embodies the serene beauty and rich
traditions of the Mediterranean coast, resonating with customers who value elegance, quality, and cultural
authenticity.
